Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 16, 2026
TLDR;
A plain-English summary for your convenience only. The full policy below governs.
- What we collect: your account details, the LinkedIn data you connect or ask us to analyze, the content you create in FeedBoss, and basic usage data.
- Your content goes to AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) so we can generate posts, images, and video. We do not sell your personal information.
- We read public LinkedIn data through a third-party provider, and our browser extension reads pages you open. For features like Trending, this can include other people's public posts.
- We never see your password (sign-in is Google Firebase or a one-time email code), and outside AI assistants reach your data only after you approve them.
- You stay in control: you can access, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing us, and delete workspaces or disconnect LinkedIn at any time.
1. Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Feedboss.ai ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, processes, discloses, and safeguards information in connection with our website at https://feedboss.ai (the "Site"), our browser extension, and our AI-assisted LinkedIn content and growth services (collectively, the "Services").
This Policy applies to individuals who visit the Site, register for an account, or otherwise use the Services. It does not apply to the practices of third parties that we do not own or control, including LinkedIn and the AI and infrastructure providers described below, each of which is governed by its own privacy terms.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, you must not access or use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the categories of information described below. The specific information collected depends on how you interact with the Services and which features you use.
2.1 Information You Provide
- Account and identity data: your name, username, email address, and profile photograph.
- Billing data: billing name and address, and the transaction records associated with your purchases. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment providers and are not stored on our servers (see Section 5).
- Content you submit: the drafts, prompts, chat messages, uploaded files, images, voice notes, PDFs, and other material you create, upload, or generate within the Services (together, "User Content").
- Support communications: the messages, attachments, and other information you send when you contact us or use our live chat.
Authentication and passwords: Sign-in is managed by Google Firebase Authentication, or by a one-time code sent to your email. We do not create, receive, or store your account password, and we do not use security questions.
2.2 LinkedIn Account Data (You Connect)
When you connect your LinkedIn account, you authorize us to access certain data through LinkedIn's official authorization (OAuth). Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include:
- your LinkedIn profile information (such as name, headline, and avatar);
- content you draft, schedule, or publish through the Services; and
- post performance data available to you, such as views, reactions, and comments.
We do not receive or store your LinkedIn password.
2.3 Public LinkedIn Data (We Read on Your Behalf)
Some features rely on publicly available LinkedIn data, which we retrieve through a third-party data provider (Apify). This includes, for example, reading a public LinkedIn profile and its public posts when you paste a profile link during onboarding, synchronizing your own public posts and their public comments, and, for features such as Trending, Popular Posts, and Engagement, reading public posts and public comments authored by other LinkedIn members.
Where this data concerns individuals other than you, we process it to provide research, benchmarking, and engagement features within the Services. Reading public LinkedIn data may be metered and charged against your account's usage credits.
2.4 Usage and Technical Data
- Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
- Activity data: pages and features viewed, actions taken, dates and times of access, and other product analytics events, which may include session interactions such as clicks and scrolling (see Section 6).
2.5 Browser Extension Data
If you install our browser extension, it reads content on the LinkedIn pages you open, such as post text, post images, and author names, in order to help you draft comments and messages, and it can assist you in composing and sending messages through LinkedIn's own interface. Depending on your settings, the extension sends the relevant content either to our servers (authenticated with your account) or, if you supply your own AI key, directly to your chosen AI provider. Your extension settings, including any AI key you enter, are stored by your browser.
3. How We Use Information
We process information to operate and improve the Services, relying on one or more lawful bases, including performance of our contract with you, our legitimate business interests, your consent where required, and compliance with legal obligations. We use information to:
- Provide the Services: create and manage your account, build your writing profile, generate and edit content, schedule and publish posts, and display analytics and engagement data.
- Enable AI features: transmit your User Content and related inputs to AI providers to generate text, images, audio, and video, as described in Section 4.
- Process transactions: handle subscriptions, lifetime licenses, credits, invoices, and related billing.
- Communicate with you: send administrative, transactional, security, and support messages, and, where permitted, product updates and marketing.
- Maintain and improve the Services: monitor performance, debug, analyze usage trends, and develop new features.
- Protect the Services: detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, spam, and security incidents, and enforce our terms.
4. AI Processing of Your Content
The Services use artificial intelligence to generate and transform content. To do this, the prompts, User Content, and related inputs you submit are transmitted to and processed by third-party AI providers acting as our processors. Depending on the feature and model you use, these providers currently include OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, and ElevenLabs.
Each provider's handling of the data we send is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review each provider's policies, and to avoid submitting information you do not want processed by AI.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK). Some plans allow you to connect your own AI provider account by supplying an API key. We store any key you provide in encrypted form and use it only to route your requests to that provider. When you use your own key, the relevant User Content is sent to that provider under your own agreement with them, and their terms and privacy practices apply to that processing. You are responsible for the keys and accounts you connect.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as described below.
5.1 Service Providers and Subprocessors
We rely on third parties to help us operate the Services. These providers are authorized to process information only as needed to perform services for us. The principal categories are:
| Provider | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase | Authentication and account security | Email, account identifiers |
| Stripe | Subscription payments and billing | Name, email, billing and payment details |
| AppSumo | Lifetime license purchase and verification | Purchase and license identifiers, email |
| Amazon Web Services, Cloudinary | File, image, and media hosting | Uploaded and generated media |
| Pinecone | Search over your content and Knowledge Base | Vector data derived from your content |
| Apify | Reading public LinkedIn profiles and posts | Public LinkedIn profile, post, and comment data |
| OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter, ElevenLabs | AI text, image, and voice generation | Prompts and User Content you submit for generation |
| PostHog, Microsoft Clarity | Product analytics and session insights | Usage events, device and technical data, session interactions |
| Crisp | Live chat support | Messages you send us, a browser identifier |
| Tolt | Affiliate and referral tracking | Referral identifiers |
| Email delivery | Transactional and account emails | Email address |
| Stock media and embed tools (such as Unsplash, Pexels, YouTube) | Media search and embedding | Search terms, media you import |
5.2 Connected Assistants (Opt-In)
The Services allow you to connect outside AI assistants and applications (for example, ChatGPT) so that they can access your FeedBoss data on your behalf. This access is granted only after you complete an authorization and consent step, is limited to the scope you approve, and can be revoked by you at any time. When connected, the assistant provider receives the data you authorize it to access, subject to that provider's own terms.
5.3 Legal and Protective Disclosures
We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that it is required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, our Company, or others.
5.4 Business Transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand usage.
- Essential cookies: required to operate the Site and keep you signed in.
- Analytics and session insights: we use PostHog and Google Analytics for Firebase for product analytics, and Microsoft Clarity, which records session interactions such as clicks and scrolling to help us improve usability.
- Referral tracking: we use Tolt to attribute affiliate and referral sign-ups.
- Live chat: our chat provider, Crisp, may store an identifier on your device so that a conversation you start stays attached to your browser. It is not used to track you across unrelated websites, and Crisp's own policies govern that data.
You can set your browser to refuse some or all cookies, and you can opt out of certain analytics through the provider tools where available. If you refuse cookies, parts of the Services may not function properly.
7. Data Retention, Deletion, and Security
7.1 Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and for the purposes set out in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, for example for tax, accounting, billing, dispute-resolution, or security purposes. We do not apply a single fixed retention period to all data; retention depends on the type of data and the reason we hold it.
7.2 Deletion
You can delete individual workspaces and disconnect your LinkedIn account at any time from within the Services. To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email us at hello@feedboss.ai. On a verified request, we delete or de-identify the personal data associated with your account, remove the LinkedIn access tokens we hold, and instruct our subprocessors to delete data held on our behalf.
Some information may persist after deletion: content stored with certain media providers, records we are required or permitted to keep for legal, tax, accounting, billing, identity, or security reasons, and copies retained in routine backups for a limited period. Deleting the tokens we hold does not by itself revoke our access at LinkedIn; you can also revoke access directly in your LinkedIn settings.
7.3 Security
We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect the information we process, including encryption of sensitive credentials such as connected API keys and access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information. We extend the core of these rights to all users:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal exceptions.
- Restriction and objection: ask us to restrict or object to certain processing.
- Portability: request that we provide your data in a portable format.
- Opt out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those emails.
- Non-sale: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@feedboss.ai. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and in any case will aim to respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
9. International Data Transfers
We and our providers may store and process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we take steps designed to ensure that transfers of personal information receive an adequate level of protection in accordance with applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may link to or interoperate with third-party sites and services, including LinkedIn and the providers listed above. This Policy does not govern those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
